Playful performance is de digitale werkplaats van Jochem Naafs. Dramaturg, criticus en onderzoeker. Deze werkplaats zal ik gebruiken om tekst, beeld en gedachten theater, dans en performance, beeldende en digitale kunst te tonen. Er zijn twee gebieden die in het speciaal mijn interesse hebben: 1. de samenkomst van technologie en theater, 2. de overlap van (hedendaagse) dans en performance.
Playful performance staat in brede zin voor trans- en interdisciplinaire kunstvormen die, meestal, performatief zijn en vaak een spel spelen met de bezoeker/ toeschouwer.
Jochem Naafs heeft een MA in Theaterwetenschap en in Nieuwe media en digitale cultuur (UU). Hij is werkzaam als docent theorie van de creatieve maakprocessen bij de Professional School of the Arts Utrecht en als onderzoeker voor het Lectoraat Theatrale Maakprocessen van de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht. Op dit moment werkt hij aan een cahier op basis van zijn afstudeeronderzoek naar transdisciplinaire maakprocessen aan de hand van de Actor-Netwerk Theorie Verder werkt hij als freelance schrijver (o.a. Springdance, Danslab en Domein voor Kunstkritiek) en als dramaturg in dans en theater.

Playful performance is the digital working space of Jochem Naafs. Here texts on theatre, dance, performance, visual and digital art will appear: Short reviews, essay’s, reports and tips. Most of the texts on this website are written in Dutch. Some are translated or originally in English. You are welcome to take a look on the main page to look for these articles.
Playful performance stands for trans- and interdisciplinairy art forms, mostly performative and often playing a game with the visitor/ spectator.
Jochem Naafs has a MA in Theatre Studies and in New media and digital culture (Utrecht University). He is working as lecturer theory of creative making processes at the Professional School of the Arts Utrecht and as researcher for the Research Centre Theatre-Making Processes of Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU). Currently he is working on a cahier based on his research on transdisciplinary making processes using the Actor-Network Theory. Furthermore he is a freelance writer (Dansateliers, Danslab, Domein voor Kunstkritiek a.o.) and dramaturge in dance and theatre.
